about

Goodnight Ambleside is the debut artist EP by Andrew Simpson. The album explores a variety of his different tastes in electronic music such as pop, electro, minimalist, acoustic mashups, drum/guitar sampling, and progressive house.

After first being exposed to the EDM scene while vacationing in Vancouver, Andrew returned home convinced he could produce tracks like the ones he heard while partying on the west coast. Three years later, Goodnight Ambleside was completed, the product of 1000+ sessions in the studio where Andrew taught himself how to compose, mix, and master in Logic Pro. The album was named after the borough of Vancouver in British Columbia where Andrew first discovered this type of music, Ambleside.

While this first effort symbolizes a three year learning experience, it is the foundation of the progressive, yet tame sound Andrew will continue to serve up in the near future. Stay Tuned!

Track Name: You're Lost (Feat. Milan Boronell) (Original Mix)
I see you running around
You see me frowning down
You know you're running out
out of time

The clock is ticking now
You're screaming shut it out
You want to turn around
But it's too late

You're lost

Your heart is pounding now
You're screaming cut it out
You try to get up and stand
But there's no helping hand

It's all over now, go ahead scream and shout
Nobody's coming to save you
You had one chance and you blew it

You had one chance and you blew it away
You had one chance and you blew it
You had one chance and you blew it away
You had one chance and you blew it

Now you're lost
You're lost
Track Name: Something Great (Feat. Milan Boronell) (Original Mix)
I've been looking at you all night
You've been flaunting right in my sight
So I'm 'a come and ask you to dance
Baby girl just take a chance

'Cause I know
This could be nothing
But maybe
It'll lead to something great

'Cause I know
This could be nothing
But maybe
It'll lead to something great

Something great

No I won't by you a drink
How 'bout I give you a little wink
I know you think we're in a club
But we're about to fall in love

'Cause I know
This could be nothing
But maybe
It'll lead to something great

'Cause I know
This could be nothing
But maybe
It'll lead to something great
Track Name: Hit the Wall (with Adrian Solarino & Feat. Chelsey Giffin) (Original Mix)
Waiting in the Atlantic
I can feel the salt against my skin
Kicking sand behind me
Faster as the fog rolls in
Knee-deep in the sea grass
Ocean falling behind me
Crashing waves in the distance
Mountain plains before me

I'm one and the same with
the air that skims my shoulders and
I'm part of the future
Leaning into the distance
Maintaining my cadence
Every stem on the forefoot end
Breathing hypnotic
Falling to a pure and gentle trance

Where am I destined? yeah
Can't tell you where I've gone and where I'm going to
I'm calling to you
I wanna chase away the rain

We've been running
Moving farther and farther
Trying not to hit the wall
We've been running
Pulling harder and harder
Gonna feel the ground beyond my body, yeah
Beyond my body, yeah

Breeze chilling at sundown
Village lights make glitter on the hill
First up on the pavement
Fleeting moment standing still
Every turn looks familiar
Though I haven't tread this ground before
Short stride on the incline
Yearning for a flatter course

Every muscle engages
Churning in a constant motion and
Hands searching for something
Courage to continue on this path
Dusk on the horizon
Power fading as the sky turns black
Focus on the ending
One more step until I feel my life

Where am I destined? yeah
Can't tell you where I've gone and where I'm going to
I'm calling to you
I wanna chase away the rain

We've been running
Moving farther and farther
Trying not to hit the wall
We've been running
Pulling harder and harder
Gonna feel the ground beyond my body, yeah
Beyond my body, yeah

I am part of the future
Leaning into the distance
I'm calling to you
We'll never see the end of this moment, yeah
Track Name: Rev It Up (Feat. Milan Boronell)
Your body's an engine so rev it up

Take a sharp turn
Over to me
You work them heels girl
I know you like what you see
I've got an appetite
The need for the speed
Your body does it right
The fuel that I need, let's go

The clock is running down
Stop wasting time
We've been dancing 'round this moment time to let it shine
Grab my hand, oh, make me understand
I'm in for a ride

Your body's an engine so rev it up
Your body's an engine so

Ooo girl, I didn't even realize
Your body's so tight, your hips, your waist, your legs your thighs
Wrapped around my mind, your hands become a part of mine
This game's in overtime, you ready? Let's go

The clock is running down
Stop wasting time
We've been dancing 'round this moment time to let it shine
Grab my hand, oh, make me understand
I'm in for a ride

Your body's an engine so rev it up
Your body's an engine so
